All fees do not include the $200 Volunteer Levy for the 2026-2027 Hockey Season. This levy will be refunded upon completion of required volunteer hours, at the end of the season. The levy may also be applied to the 2026-2027 Hockey season in lieu of refund. Assigned Head Coaches and Board members, at time of registration, will be issued a code to waive $200 of the volunteer fee (rolled over from previous seasons) Please contact the Registrar for your Promo Code if you have not received it via email (if eligible). PLEASE NOTE: This promo code is to be used once per registration and NOT per player. Please make sure you only enter it on one registration to avoid Additional charges!

 

Change in payment plan schedule

We have changed our payment plan schedule this season. The installment schedule will begin July 1, 2026 and continue until December 1, 2026 (6 payments) Fees will be collected on the first of the month. Monthly payments DO NOT include the Volunteer Levy or Rep Fees. These fees will be collected separately.

 

The $200 registration deposit fee will be considered your Volunteer Levy.

 

Your info from last season will already be saved in your account! Please make sure you change the selections for age division from Hockey Canada, as you will be unable to continue if you do not have the correct group. There are also some additional waivers to be signed from Hockey Canada included now, as they have changed their requirements.

 

Female Hockey

 

This season we will be offering five divisions for female Hockey. They are U9, U11, U13, U15 and U18! When selecting the division you wish to register your player in, please make sure you select the FEMALE option if you do not want to register for the mixed division. If you have selected the mixed division in error, please contact Jenise (registrar@scminorhockey.com) so I can move your registration!

Currently, the only option for payment is online. If you wish to make arrangements to pay via Cheque/Cash/Etransfer, or need to apply for funding, please contact Jenise (registrar@scminorhockey.com) to complete your registration.

FAMILY PLAN:

For families with 3 or more players, a promo code may be entered during checkout towards the savings of $125.00 in total.  Please contact the Registrar for more info.

 

PLAYER MOVEMENT POLICY

• “A” Hockey
  • Any SCMHA player wishing to try out for A Hockey as an underage player may be permitted to do so. There is no deadline for “A” players to request to play on a higher team than their age group
  • The decision of the team makeup rests with the Coach and is approved by the Coach of the team the player is trying to join.
  • “A” players are not required to make a tryout if there are extenuating circumstances ie Injury or being released from BCEHL etc.

 

• “C” Hockey
  • Athletes wishing to play in divisions above their age group must submit a request form before the start of the season to allow for team make-up decisions.
  • Evaluators will observe the player’s performance during a minimum of 2 practices. These evaluators will meet with coaching staff knowledgeable of the player's past performance.

 

To be considered for a move up in the division, the following will be considered for each request:

• Demonstrate equal or better skill for the division moving to
• Demonstrate appropriate maturity for the division move
• Not displace another player from the new team
• Not restrict the associations’ ability to form teams.

 

NOTE:

• No player will play or practice on two different teams or divisions.
• All moves are subject to PCAHA approval.
